AI Head Swap takes the entire head from one photo, including the face, hair and head shape, and places it on the body in a second photo. The body photo keeps its pose, outfit, framing and background, and the AI blends the neck, skin tone and lighting so the join does not show. A swap costs $0.10 and takes about 10 seconds, and signed-in users get one free generation a day.
Head swap is the right choice when hairstyles differ a lot. A regular AI Face Swap keeps the target's hair, so a short-haired face on a long-haired target can look wrong. If you want to keep your own head and borrow a whole outfit and pose, use AI Body Swap instead.

Head swap, face swap or body swap?
These three tools sound alike but move different parts of the picture:
- Face swap replaces only the facial features. The target keeps its hair, ears and head shape. Best when the two people have similar hair. $0.10.
- Head swap (this tool) replaces the whole head: face, hair and head shape. You choose which photo gives the body. Best when hairstyles or head shapes differ. $0.10.
- Body swap starts from your photo and puts you into another person's body, pose, outfit and scene. It is the same idea seen from the other side, and is set up for full-body shots. $0.10.

How to get a clean neck and hairline
The hardest part of any head swap is where the head meets the body. You can help the AI a lot with the right photos:
- Match the head angle. If the body photo is turned three-quarters to the left, choose a head photo turned the same way.
- Match the light. A head lit from the left looks pasted on a body lit from the right. Photos taken outdoors in soft daylight mix well.
- Show the full head. A head photo cropped at the forehead gives the AI no hair to move.
- Avoid hats and hoods in the head photo unless you want them in the result.
- Similar framing. Head swaps look most natural when the head is roughly the same size in both pictures.

Use it with permission
Only use photos of people who agreed to be edited, and never use a head swap to deceive, harass, impersonate or sexualize anyone, or to make a fake photo look like a real event. Head swaps are especially easy to misuse because they move a person's whole recognizable head onto a body that is not theirs. Be careful with body photos in swimwear, uniforms or any setting that could embarrass the person, and never put someone's head on a body in a compromising or sexual context. Can I try head swap for free?

What is the difference between head swap and face swap?
Face swap only replaces facial features and keeps the target's hair. Head swap moves the face, hair and head shape together, which looks better when hairstyles are very different.
Which photo keeps its body and background?
The first upload, the body photo. The second upload only gives the head, face and hair.
Does it blend skin tone and lighting?
Yes. The AI is instructed to blend the neck and match skin tone and lighting to the body photo. Results are best when both photos have similar light.
How long does it take?
Usually about 10 seconds.
Is there a watermark?
No. RegiAI does not add a watermark to AI results.
Can I head swap in a video?

Can I swap heads with a celebrity photo?
Only use photos you have the right to use and never to impersonate or deceive. Many public figures' images are protected, so a swap you make for private fun may not be something you can publish.
