AI Vocal Remover
Press play to hear a real result.
Saved to your workspace history.
The RegiAI AI vocal remover separates the singing from the music in any song. Upload a track, choose whether to keep the instrumental (for karaoke and covers) or the vocals only (an acapella for remixes), and download the result as an MP3, usually in under a minute. It uses an AI stem-separation model rather than the old phase-cancelling trick, so it works on most modern mixes.
Each song costs $0.10 and qualifies for the daily free generation. Need a song to start with? Create one with the AI Music Generator. Want the isolated voice to sound like someone else? Pass it to the AI Voice Changer.
Add an MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file up to 20 MB. A full-length MP3 fits easily.
Pick Instrumental to remove vocals from the song, or Vocals only to extract the acapella.
Press Separate. The new track is usually ready in under a minute as an MP3.
Remove the lead vocal and sing over the original backing track.
Extract clean vocals to build a remix, mashup or edit.
Practice guitar, piano or singing along with the real arrangement.
Use an instrumental version under a voiceover so the lyrics do not clash with speech.
Isolate the vocal to hear hard-to-catch lyrics, or pass it to speech to text.
Strip music from a recording before voice cloning or voice changing.
Give students a backing track to sing or play along with.
Pull a clean vocal phrase or instrumental loop for your own production, where you have the rights.
Each run gives you one stem: either the instrumental (everything except the vocals) or the vocals on their own. If you need both, run the same song twice, once with each option. Each run costs $0.10, and the first one of the day can be free.
The instrumental keeps drums, bass, guitars, keys and other instruments together in one track. Backing vocals and harmonies are usually treated as vocals, so they are removed along with the lead. The acapella contains all the singing in the song, lead and backing.
Output is an MP3, which works for karaoke apps, video editors and DJ software. For the cleanest separation, start from the highest-quality file you have, such as a WAV or a 320 kbps MP3, rather than a low-bitrate download.
Tip: if you plan to make karaoke videos, keep the original song open next to the instrumental in your editor. You can use the original to line up the lyrics and then mute it before exporting.
Small artifacts are normal with any vocal remover. For karaoke they are rarely noticeable once you sing over the track. For a professional release, listen through the whole stem before you publish.
If you hear faint vocals left in the instrumental, try the original file in higher quality, or run the vocals-only option and check whether the leftover sound is actually an instrument. For speech recordings with background music, choose Vocals only to keep the voice and drop the music.
Karaoke singers usually care most about a clean instrumental; remix producers care most about a clean acapella. If you only need one, choose it directly rather than running both.
Removing vocals does not change who owns the song. You can use results under our Terms of Service and the model provider's license, but you still need the rights to the original recording to publish a karaoke version, remix or cover. For personal practice this is rarely a concern; for YouTube uploads and releases, check the song's license.
The price is $0.10 per song, pay per use with no subscription, and a failed separation is refunded automatically. Results are saved in My creations for 30 days.
Related tools: transcribe the isolated vocals with AI Speech to Text, use a clean vocal as a sample for the AI Voice Cloner (with the singer's permission), or add effects with the Sound Effect Generator.
If you want a song made for your own project instead, create one with the AI Music Generator and then separate it here.
For practice at home, a karaoke night or a school performance, a separated instrumental is often all you need.
