AI Voice Generator

Press play to hear a real result.

The RegiAI AI voice generator turns written text into natural speech you can download as an MP3. Paste a script of up to 5,000 characters, pick one of 16 voices, choose an emotion, and the voiceover is usually ready in a few seconds. It works for YouTube narration, ads, explainers, audiobooks and phone messages.

You pay per use: $0.15 per 1,000 characters, with a $0.05 minimum, and short scripts (up to 600 characters) fall under the daily free generation. If you want the text read in your own voice instead, use the AI Voice Cloner. To put the voice on a face, pair it with AI Talking Photo or AI Lip Sync.

What you can make

YouTube and TikTok narration

Record a clean voiceover for tutorials, reels, shorts and explainers without a microphone.

Ad reads and promos

Test several voices and tones for the same ad script before you pay for studio time.

Audiobooks and stories

Turn chapters, bedtime stories and blog posts into listenable audio, one section at a time.

Presentations and training

Add narration to course modules, onboarding videos and slide decks.

Phone and IVR messages

Create greetings, hold messages and menu prompts that sound calm and consistent.

Multilingual content

Use French, German, Spanish and Italian voices for localized versions of your content.

Characters and games

Give NPCs, podcast skits and animations distinct voices such as the Storyteller or Comedian.

Proofreading by ear

Hear your own writing read aloud to catch clumsy sentences before you publish.

Voices, emotions and languages

The generator offers 16 voices. Twelve are English, including Wise Lady, Deep-Voiced Gentleman, Storyteller, Calm Woman, Confident Woman, Trustworthy Man, Playful Girl, Comedian and an Aussie Bloke. There is also a French news anchor, a friendly German man, and Spanish and Italian narrators.

The emotion setting changes the delivery: Automatic, Happy, Calm, Sad, Surprised, Angry or Neutral. Automatic reads the mood from your text, which works well for most scripts. Pick a fixed emotion when the whole clip should have one tone, such as Calm for a meditation or Happy for a product launch.

The voice speaks the language you write in. For the best accent, match the voice to the language of the text, for example the Spanish Narrator for a Spanish script. Mixing languages in one clip works, but a native voice sounds more natural.

Not sure where to start? For YouTube tutorials and explainers, the Friendly Person, Trustworthy Man and Calm Woman voices are easy to listen to for long stretches. For stories and audiobooks, try the Storyteller or the Wise Lady. For ads and announcements, the Confident Woman and Deep-Voiced Gentleman carry more authority.

How to write a script that sounds natural

  • Write for the ear. Short sentences with one idea each sound more human than long, nested ones.
  • Use punctuation for pacing. Commas add short pauses and full stops add longer ones. A line break between paragraphs gives a natural breath.
  • Spell out tricky items. Write "twenty twenty-six" or "two thousand and twenty-six" if the reading of a number matters, and spell out unusual acronyms.
  • Split long projects. For an audiobook or course, generate one section per clip so you can fix a single part without regenerating everything.
  • Test before you commit. Try a short paragraph in two or three voices, then generate the full script in the one you like.

If a single word comes out wrong, you do not need to rewrite the whole script. Change the spelling of that word to match how it sounds (for example "Nee-sha" instead of "Niche"), generate just that sentence again, and drop it into your editor over the original. Keeping each paragraph as a separate clip makes these fixes quick, and it keeps each generation small enough to stay cheap.

Pricing and how it compares with the other audio tools

Pricing is per character: $0.15 per 1,000 characters, rounded up to the next 100 characters, with a $0.05 minimum. A 300-character intro costs $0.05, a 1,000-character script costs $0.15, and the 5,000-character maximum costs $0.75. There is no subscription. You add credit when you need it, from $10.

Any clip that costs $0.10 or less, which means scripts of up to 600 characters, can use your daily free generation. If a generation fails, the charge goes back to your balance automatically.

Choose the tool by the result you need. The voice generator uses ready-made voices. The AI Voice Cloner reads new text in a voice from your own sample. The AI Voice Changer keeps an existing recording and swaps the voice. For background music or effects under your voiceover, use the AI Music Generator and Sound Effect Generator.

Compared with the built-in text-to-speech on a phone or computer, the voices here are more expressive, handle emotion, and give you a clean MP3 file to edit, which system voices usually do not. Compared with subscription voice apps, you only pay for the characters you actually generate, so an occasional voiceover does not require a monthly plan.

Results are saved in My creations on your dashboard for 30 days, so you can come back and download a clip again while you finish editing.

AI Voice Generator FAQ

Still stuck? Contact us.

Is the AI voice generator free?

Every signed-in user gets one free generation a day on tools priced $0.10 or less. Here that covers any script up to 600 characters. Longer scripts are paid per use at $0.15 per 1,000 characters. The free generation does not stack or roll over.

How much does it cost?

$0.15 per 1,000 characters with a $0.05 minimum. A 300-character script costs $0.05 and the full 5,000 characters cost $0.75. See pricing for credit packs.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Google to generate audio. There is no subscription: you add credit from $10 and pay per use from your balance, and new accounts can use the daily free generation right away.

How long can the text be?

Up to 5,000 characters per generation, which is roughly five to six minutes of speech at a normal pace. For longer projects such as audiobooks or full courses, generate one section or chapter at a time and join the clips in your editor.

Which languages does it speak?

The voices cover English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The model reads the language of your text automatically, but a voice that matches the language sounds best.

What file format do I get?

An MP3 file that you can play in the browser and download. MP3 imports into every common video editor (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie), podcast tool and presentation app, and it keeps file sizes small for sharing.

Is there a watermark or audio tag in the file?

No. RegiAI does not add a watermark or spoken tag to your audio.

Can I use the voiceover in YouTube videos and ads?

You can use results under our Terms of Service and the model provider's license. Check both if you plan to use the audio in paid ads or products.

Can it speak in my own voice?

Not this tool. Use the AI Voice Cloner with a 10 to 30 second sample of your voice, or the AI Voice Changer to change the voice in a recording.

Can I make a talking avatar with the audio?

Yes. Download the MP3 and upload it to AI Talking Photo with a portrait, or to AI Lip Sync with a video.

What happens if a generation fails?

The charge is refunded to your balance automatically. If it was your free generation, you get it back for the day.

Where are my voiceovers saved?

In My creations on your dashboard for 30 days. You can delete them at any time.

Can I change the speed or pitch of the voice?

There are no speed or pitch sliders. The voice, the emotion and your punctuation shape the delivery: shorter sentences and more commas give a slower, calmer read. For a completely different voice, try another preset or the AI Voice Cloner.

Is this a free text to speech alternative to built-in phone voices?

It is paid per use, but short clips of up to 600 characters are covered by the daily free generation. The voices are more natural than most built-in system voices, and you get a downloadable MP3.

Is there an API?

Yes. The same voice generator is available through the RegiAI API at the same prices.
