Upscaled images are downloaded as PNG.
The RegiAI AI image upscaler makes small images bigger without the blur of normal resizing. Upload a photo, choose 2x, 3x or 4x, and the Clarity Upscaler model rebuilds the image at the higher resolution, adding fine detail to faces, hair, textures and edges. A 500 x 500 pixel image at 4x becomes 2000 x 2000 pixels, and you download it as a high-quality PNG.
Each upscale costs $0.03, you are charged only when it succeeds, and your first generation each day is free. If the problem is blur rather than size, try Unblur Image first. If you only need a different pixel size for the web, the free Resize Image tool is enough.
Any photo, portrait, AI image or artwork up to 10 MB.
Choose 2x, 3x or 4x. A 500 x 500 image at 4x becomes 2000 x 2000 pixels.
Look over the result and download the upscaled image in high-quality PNG format.

When you enlarge an image in a normal editor, the software stretches the pixels you already have and blends them, so the result is bigger but soft. An AI upscaler works differently: the model has learned what skin, hair, fabric, foliage and text look like at high resolution, and it generates new detail that fits your image as it enlarges it.
The Clarity Upscaler model used here is especially good with portraits and faces, and it works well on landscapes, products and illustrations too. Some tips:
Upscaling works best on images that are small but clean. If the source has heavy JPEG blocks or noise, the upscaler may enlarge those too, so clean the image first with Unblur Image. AI art from the AI Image Generator usually upscales very well, because it starts clean.
A common workflow for AI art is to generate a draft with the AI Image Generator, then upscale the one you like here for printing.
For printing, a rough guide is 300 pixels per inch for close viewing and around 150 for posters seen from a distance. A 1000 pixel wide image is enough for a sharp print about 3 inches wide; at 4x it becomes 4000 pixels, enough for about 13 inches at 300 ppi, or a much larger poster.
If you are not sure which tool you need, look at the photo at 100 percent zoom. Sharp but tiny means upscale; the right size but soft means unblur; scratched or faded means restore.
Each upscale costs $0.03, whatever the scale factor. You are charged only after the upscale succeeds; if it fails, nothing is taken from your balance. There is no subscription: buy a credit pack of $10, $25, $50 or $100 (larger packs include bonus credit) and pay per use, so $10 covers more than 300 upscales. Every signed-in user also gets one free generation per day on tools priced $0.10 or less, and this upscaler qualifies. It does not stack or roll over.
RegiAI does not add a watermark to the upscaled image. Download the PNG as soon as it is ready and keep your own copy. You sign in with Google to use the tool.
Because the price is the same for 2x, 3x and 4x, choose the factor by the size you need, not by cost. Bigger is not always better: a 4x upscale of an already large photo makes a huge file that is slow to share. For screens and social media, 2x is usually plenty.
